As an electrical engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to evaluating hardware security implementation in embedded electronics. We’re looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to support law enforcement by creating new forensic tools and investigative capabilities. At this Fortune 500 company, you’ll use your engineering skills to transform law enforcement. Our team builds digital forensics for investigators to recover user data from electronic devices. That’s why we need you, an electrical engineer, with an understanding of embedded system design, mobile platforms and architecture, and hardware security concepts to help us design and develop techniques for testing memory subsystems, security subsystems, and debugging interfaces on electronic devices. 

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

On our team, you’ll be part of a mission-oriented engineering group challenged to do the impossible and recover data that may be deleted. You’ll directly impact criminal and counter-intelligence investigations by applying failure analysis, glitching, and side-channel analysis techniques to reverse engineer embedded systems. We’ll look to you to share your electrical engineering expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff. This is a chance to use your experience-based knowledge in range of embedded systems development and test while broadening your skillset into areas like advanced side-channel analysis, hardware-backed security components, and reverse engineering. Required Qualifications:

·       1+ year of software development experience with C, C++, or python 

·       1+ year of experience with embedded systems development, including firmware development, bare-metal programming, FPGA development, and JTAG Experience with side-channel analysis techniques, including fault-injection, glitching, power analysis, and electromagnetic interference 

·       Top Secret clearance 

Formal Education:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

Desired Skills:

·       Experience in working with Operating System code 

·       Experience with Reverse Engineering using Ghidra or IDA Pro 

·       Experience with Fault Injection and Failure Analysis Experience with developing side-channel attacks 

·       Knowledge of secure boot processes 

·       Knowledge of Cryptography 

·       Knowledge of Flash memory and RAM concepts
